ASV Universal Clutch levers (Part#’s CLM01, CBM05, CLF10, CBF15) are all compatible with Works Connection Pro Perches. |
ASV Universal clutch levers can install into a works connection or most other after-market pro-style perches with no modification. |
If you would like to use the bearings that came with your stock works connection lever and install them into your ASV lever follow the instructions below.
We have engineered our clutch levers to feature a steel pivot that is the exact size of the bearings on a Works Connection Pro Perch/Lever.
You can replace the bushing in the ASV clutch lever with the bearings that were supplied with your stock Works Connection lever for improved performance.
Step 1: take your stock lever from your Works Connection perch and CAREFULLY press out the two small bearings at the pivot hole. We suggest using a medium size punch or a large Phillips screwdriver. Push the bearings out with pressure, DO NOT POUND ON THE BEARINGS WITH A HAMMER. The bearings are very small and fragile and can break easily. (See Photos 1-3)
Step 2: take your ASV lever and with the same punch or Phillips screwdriver, press the steel bushing out of the ASV lever. If you need to use force or a hammer to pound the bushing out, that is O.K. (See photos 4-6)
Step 3: gently press the two small bearings into your ASV lever. If the bearings are loose or do not stay in the hole, you can use some loc-tite bolt glue to secure the bearings. Be sure to use a very small amount of loc-tite and do not get any loc-tite in the bearings or they will not operate properly. (See photos 7-8)
You are now ready to bolt your ASV lever into a Works Connection pro-perch.
