C5 Series Sport Brake Lever # BRC574

I would like to share some feedback and suggestions regarding the installation process for ASV levers. Firstly, I recommend including a QR code link to a YouTube tutorial with detailed instructions on removing the stock levers and installing ASV levers. The current installation guide uses the same image for both the clutch and brake lever instructions, which can be confusing for users. In my eagerness to install the levers, I skimmed through the instruction manual and proceeded with the installation. However, I encountered an issue when trying to remove the two Allen bolts on each stock lever. The lever plunger had thread lock applied, which was not mentioned in the guide. Unaware of this, I attempted to remove it directly and ended up stripping the clutch plunger’s Allen hole. Eventually, I had to take my bike to a repair shop, where the plunger was successfully removed after being soaked in gasoline for about five minutes. Including specific instructions on how to handle the lever plunger and deal with thread lock in the installation guide would be incredibly helpful and prevent such issues. Additionally, it would be a significant improvement if the package included a replacement plunger, as this would eliminate the hassle of removing the original one. I also noticed that the axle "main pivot bolt" holding the lever is slightly looser on the ASV levers compared to the stock ones. I hope this does not cause any long-term damage to the bushing with extended use. Overall, I believe ASV levers are a great product, and with these adjustments, the user experience could be even better.

These are the second set of ASV shorty levers I have bought—the first set was for my 2006 Triumph Speed Triple. These fit my BMW R1250R perfectly, and they continue to impress. The levers are smooth, supremely adjustable, and are exceptionally well made. I highly recommend these levers and the company!

Unbelievable improvement in brake feel and modulation. There is NO FLEX / softness to the system now! I could NOT believe how much of a difference simply changing a “Lever” could have on the brake feel of a premium BMW bike !! Thank You ASV!!
