Mission Super Hooligan COTA Finale: Team BPR Delivers a Championship Thriller!

Team BPR delivered a championship showdown for the ages at the Mission Super Hooligan finale at Circuit of the Americas. Teammates Bryce Kornbau and Andy DiBrino went head-to-head in a weekend packed with speed, pressure, and the kind of racing drama that keeps fans on the edge of their seats.

With the championship points tighter than ever heading into the final round, DiBrino held a slim five-point advantage over team owner and teammate Kornbau. With everything on the line, the stage was set for an unforgettable battle between two riders wearing the same team colors.

Qualifying: Teammates Trading Fast Laps

Saturday’s qualifying session was a preview of the intensity to come. Kornbau and DiBrino traded fastest lap times throughout the session, pushing their bikes and abilities to the limit.

It was a battle of speed and precision, with both riders determined to gain every possible advantage heading into the final round. DiBrino ultimately secured pole position, but there was nothing easy about it. The hammer was down from both teammates, and the championship fight was officially underway.

Race 1: A 1–2 Punch for Team BPR

If qualifying wasn’t exciting enough, Race 1 on Saturday delivered everything fans could have asked for.

The battle between the BPR teammates was a legitimate game of chicken, with neither rider willing to give an inch. It was a showcase of hard racing, confidence, and determination as the two championship contenders went toe-to-toe.

DiBrino led the majority of the race, but Kornbau was not about to let his teammate run away with it. Team BPR’s owner put together a series of impressive passes, eventually chasing down DiBrino and making the move for the race win.

Kornbau took the Race 1 victory, delivering a 1–2 finish for Team BPR.

Talk about a nail-biter!

The result brought the championship standings into a dead heat, with both riders tied at 188 points heading into Sunday’s deciding race. With no room for error, the championship would come down to one final showdown.

Race 2: All the Marbles

Sunday, September 13, brought a new day but the same attitude: drop the hammer and leave it all on the track.

The series championship was on the line, and two teammates were ready to battle for all the marbles. As a race fan, what more could you ask for?

The tension was there. The excitement was palpable. And Team BPR did not disappoint.

Both riders stretched their motors and abilities to the limit, putting on a performance that showcased not only their individual skill but also the chemistry and strength of the BPR team.

With a championship on the line between two teammates, every pass, every braking zone, and every corner carried extra weight. The pressure was enormous, but the boys delivered.

Ultimately, there could be only one champion.

Bryce Kornbau reached the checkers first, securing the Race 2 victory and claiming the Mission Super Hooligan championship!

A Season to Remember

What an incredible season for Team BPR.

To see teammates compete at this level, with a championship on the line and everything at stake, is a true testament to their talent, determination, and team chemistry.

Bryce Kornbau and Andy DiBrino put on a show at COTA that fans won’t soon forget. From qualifying battles to the final checkered flag, Team BPR proved that championship racing is about more than just speed. It’s about preparation, heart, teamwork, and the willingness to push beyond the limit.
