Steward Baylor Back on Top at Powerline Park GNCC
CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (May 18, 2026) – The Grand National Cross Country Series returned to Ohio this weekend, and Steward Baylor put the Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green™ machine back on the top step with a dominant performance at Round 7 of the season.
From the moment the green flag flew on Sunday, Baylor looked locked in. He launched off the start and entered the woods running third before quickly going to work on the riders ahead of him. With a combination of aggressive moves and smart line choices, Baylor charged his way into the lead on the opening lap and immediately set the pace.
As the race settled in, pressure came from Craig DeLong, who continued to push the tempo through the rough Ohio terrain. Rather than forcing the issue too early, Baylor stayed patient and strategic. Around the midway point, he briefly allowed DeLong by in order to study his lines and assess where he was gaining time on the course.
That patience paid off.
On Lap 4, Baylor attacked through lapped traffic near the 10-mile marker and reclaimed the lead. Once back out front, he shifted into another gear entirely. Baylor began opening the gap corner after corner, eventually stretching his advantage to more than a minute over the field.
From there, the race belonged to Baylor. Smooth, calculated, and in complete control, he rode the final laps flawlessly and crossed the finish line with authority to secure his second overall victory of the 2026 season.
The win marks another major statement for Baylor and the Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green™ program as momentum continues to build heading deeper into the championship fight.
